SAMPSON IN NO DANGER
He May Live a Number of Years
but His Health Is Bad.

Washington. Dec. 20.—Dr. W. S. Dixon,
the physician in attendance upon Rear
Admiral W. T. Sampson made the following
statement regarding his patient's condition:

The admiral is not in any immediate
danger. He goes out for exercise
every day, weather permitting. He
smokes his cigar after dinner. He is
not feeble, but just in impaired health.
His heart action is quite vigorous. His
life may be prolonged for many years
or it may be very brief, so far as any
one knows.
