Opposes Review
of Back Tax Suit

WASHINGTON, Aug. 1.(AP) - The attorney general of Arkansas today filed a supreme court brief opposing the review sought by the White River Lumber Company of a court decision last May holding the company liable to back taxes for the years of 1915 to 1926.

The company said in the petition that certain constitutional questions raised had been overlooked. The attorney general insisted that the question was not properly raised in the lower court and the decision should stand.
