Full Text
Jessie Hill, Jr. was recently selected Y's Men's Unheralded Citizen for 1960. Each year the Y's Men's Club selects a citizen of Atlanta who, in their opinion, has served his community in an unselfish manner, without thought of self aggrandizement or thought of personal gain. The citation said the Y's Men know that Mr. Hill has worked tirelessly each day, at great personal sacrifice, to promote human dignity and a healthy and decency standard of living. His positions in community affairs are too numerous to list here but most significant appears his relationship to the All-Citizens Registration Committee, the YMCA, the NAACP, Atlanta Committee for Cooperative Action and the Adult Student Liaison Committee.
