He is the favorite of the people of the United States; they elected him to the Vice Presidency. - Eastern Sentinel. Mr Van Buren is not the favorite of the people of New York! he was a minority Governor. He is not the favorite of the people of the United States; he was a minority Vice President. The popular vote of the United States left him in a minority of 50,000. Is it thus the people treat a "favorite?"
