A warrant has been issued by Deputy Blaine County Attorney Harry L. Burns and Blaine County Sheriff Dan Hay for the arrest of George A. McIntyre, alias George Griffin, for murder in the first degree in connection with the murder of two Butte men found dead several miles north of Harlem on April 15.
The suspect's last known address was Butte, and he was last seen in Harlem in the company of Joe Benski and Harry Salazar both of Butte, the two men who were found murdered. He was later seen driving a 1947 Plymouth sedan belonging to Benski, and this car was later found abandoned at Havre.
This man is considered dangerous, he was armed when last seen.
His description is: Age 26, height 5 feet 8 inches, weight 170 pounds, stocky build, dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Ruddy complexion and has hernia operation scar on right side.
He has a criminal record, having served a year in the Oregon state penitentiary for larceny.
