REVIVAL AT JACKSON. LA.

We have the great pleasure to report the existence of a gracious revival of religion at Jackson, La., the seat of Centenary College. A letter recently received from President Longstreet says: "We have a glorious revival of religion in progress which has been going on for ten or twelve days, with increasing interest. Religious exercises of some kind have been kept up every night. We have opened the door for admission of members, but thrice, and upwards of thirty whites have joined us. To night, I judge, there were near forty mourners at the altar, some of them far advanced in years. I shall be deceived if the fruits to the several churches, do not verge upon a hundred."
