Adams Express Strike.

New York, Aug. 18.—At the offices of the Adams Express company, this city, it was said today the strike inaugurated Monday morning was practically at an end. More than the usual number of wagons were out today and business is being done with the usual expedition.

The strikers, however, profess to believe they will yet carry their point. They allege that last night only three carloads were sent out from Jersey City although there were goods sufficient to fill nine cars, in the warehouse.
