AFFLICTIVE DISPENSATIONS.

The Brattleborough (Ver.) Reporter mentions that "on Friday, the 13th ultimo, the dwelling-house of Mr. Israel Jones, of Halifax, took fire in the absence of the family, and was consumed, with all its contents--valued at $1200. One year last April, Mr. Jones buried daughter, aged 22; last April he buried another, aged 17; and in July last his wife, the partner of his joys and sorrows, was also consigned to the grave. Of eight children, but three (a son and two daughters) are left."
