On Thursday, July 2, at 8:15 p. m., a three-act comedy, "Keep It Under Your Hat", will be presented at St. Paul Methodist Church, corner Park Street and Gilmer Ave., N. W., under the auspices of the St. Paul Dramatic Guild, benefit Retired Ministers Pension Fund.
This is a three-act play which is replete with moments of excitement, mystery, and spell-binding action. An amateur detective, "murder" mystery, and a managing wife who likes to be "on the inside" of the goings on in her town, the town gossip, the big business man and his jealous wife, a bossy maid. all add thrills and suspense to the plot, as well as side-splitting comedy and laughs.
A love affair and triangle in which the college girl-friend visiting in the home provides the third corner of the triangle -- all this adds up to romance and a thwarted love plot in which all turns out in the end to be-- Well, come and see for yourself when "Keep it Under Your Hat" is presented next Thursday, July 2, at 8:15 p. m. at St. Paul Methodist Church.
The cast includes such popular and well-known Roanokers as Mrs. Zenobia Ferguson. Miss Rolanda Sydnor. Mrs. Thelma Dixon, Mrs. Nancy Wade, Miss Arlean Wade, Miss Arnish Keeling, Miss Shirlene Carter, Mrs. Helen Redd, Mr. Gilbert March, and Messrs Fred Lawson, Norval Williams, Lacy Williams.
