Wildlife Protection Work Taking Shape

WASHINGTON, Mar. 14—(AP)—Wildlife conservation studies in nine colleges throughout the country, with the aid of the federal biological survey, were viewed today as one of the most important steps yet taken to preserve wildfowl and small animals.

Co-operative research investigations now are under way to learn how to increase, maintain and use wildlife resources, and to show, on trial areas, how facts found by research can be given practical application.

The college stations include Texas A&M college.

A brief outline of the various state programs includes.

The western Bobwhite quail and Mexican Bobwhites are to be studied, as well as deer and turkey management.
