CEDAR FALLS, Ia., May 6.-Arriving trains today brought a large number of normal school students from several states. Their presence is an indication of the widespread interest manifested in the annual oratorical contest between the state normal schools of Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois and Kansas, which takes place this evening at the Iowa state normal in this city. The orators who are to take part in the contest and the subjects of their orations are as follows:
"Benjamin Franklin" Mary Campbell, Iowa state normal, Cedar Falls, Iowa.
"The Lincoln-Douglas Debate" Edward McMahon, Wisconsin normal school, Milwaukee.
"The Western Pioneer," Miss Ethel E. Bryant, Illinois normal school, DeKalb, Ill.
"The Heroine of History," Robert Coughlin, Kansas Normal school, Emporia, Kan.
"Daniel Webster," T. B. Smith, Missouri normal school, Warrensburg, Mo.
