SCENE IN SILVER CITY.—About 11 o'clock last night, one Schaeffer being tight, went on the rampage down at Silver, and got shot at, but not hit. He lodges at Wiegenstein's shoe shop, and on this occasion most drunkenly and burglariously insisted on going into Wiegenstein's room instead of his own. He was ordered away, but returned with an ax and burst the door in, when the shoemaker shot at him. Schaefer was afterwards arrested and this morning on examination before the Justice, was bound over in the sum of $500 to keep the peace for six months. Not being able to give bonds, he resides in the calaboose at present.
