They write from Paris, that the Treaty made with Mocha, by the French East-India Company's Commander in Chief, after the Bombardment of that Place, stipulates among other Things, that for the future, the Company shall pay no Duties, but according to the old Tariff: that those which have hitherto been unjustly receiv'd, shall be returned to the Company; that the Governor of the Town shall be drove away, and he and all his Posterity render'd for ever unqualified to hold the same Post. This was taking Satisfaction to some Purpose; and it is to be hop'd that we shall demand and insist upon the same Punishment to be inflicted on the Governor of Porto-Rico, and the other piratical Spanish Governors in America.
