Three hundred forty-five dollars in fines was assessed by Judge John A. Murray in police court last night. It was the largest amount that has been collected for some time, and had been contributed to by Thanksgiving Day violators.
James Gilday, who was arrested Sunday was fined $100 for violation of the liquor ordinance. John Lopez also paid a fine of $100. He was fined $50 for being drunk and brandishing a knife and $50 for violation of the liquor ordinance. Archie Burdick paid a fine of $50 for driving a car while he was drunk and being responsible for an accident.
Al Johnson was fined $25 for being drunk and possessing liquor. Paul Faulkner and James Gordon were fined $10 each as inmates of a bootlegging establishment. Manuel Degada was fined $15 for being drunk.
J. M. Ross was fined $25 for speeding and for having neither brakes nor lights on his car. A liquor charge against Ross is to be prosecuted by the federal government.
Frank McAdams was fined $10 for speeding.
