About a fortnight ago the following accident happened in Casco-Bay, viz. — As two men, and a lad about 15 years of age, a foreigner, named Thomas Lamy, were carrying a bullock in a small boat to an island, the boat was overset ; by which means the lad, in attempting to swim ashore, was unfortunately drowned ; the other two were providentially saved, one by swimming on his oar to an island, at a considerable distance : the other by keeping on the boat, till it surprisingly drifted against the wind, to the same island.
