Full Text

July 22. The account so generally current yesterday of an engagement between the provincials and the troops at Boston, cannot be true. The pretended letters, by which the account is said to come, and which mention that 5000 provincials are killed, and as many taken prisoners, are said to be dated the 17th. Now, there is an authentic letter in town from Boston of the 18th, which declares, that things remain in much the same state as they had for some time past, excepting that the Generals were preparing to leave the town.
