THE EMPIRE

DECEMBER 24, 1926
Juneau was getting ready for a big Christmas. Midnight services
were to be held in the Episcopal Church and Catholic Church. The
Lutheran Church was to have a Christmas Day service at 11 o'clock.
The Alaska College cagers were to meet the Douglas Eagles this night
and meet the Juneau High School on the 26th. The previous night the
Collegians beat the Douglas High Schoolers 16 to 14 in a three-minute
overtime game.
President Charles E. Bunnell, accompanying the College hoopsters
on their trip, spoke before the Douglas High School the previous after-
noon.
