EVAN'S FLAGSHIP Is at Navy Yard for Repairs-Admiral Said to Have Gone to Washington.

New York, Oct. 13.-The battleship Connecticut, with Rear Admiral Robley Evans on board, arrived at the Brooklyn navy yard this afternoon from New London. The Connecticut needs some minor repairs and will be at the navy yard for two or three weeks. Admiral Evans left the ship soon after her arrival. It was said tonight that he probably had gone to Washington. The officers who talked with the admiral said that he appeared to be in good health and suffering no great inconvenience from a recent operation to one of his hands. The operation was made necessary by a growth on one of the admiral's fingers.
