White's Wallop.

Here Is Charley White the leading slugger of the Lightweight league-the little Chicago idol has scored seven knockouts in his last eight contests. His famous left hook has blasted more hopes and ruined more aspiring fighters during the last few months than is usual in a lifetime. His performance is a remarkable one in this day of 10 round no-decision tangles.

Charley Is a modern Dal Hawkins; the latter, of the old days, is generally credited with possessing the hardest punch of any lightweight past or present. This punch was a straight left and with it he knocked down or knocked out nearly every opponent. White's left hook is a reminder of the king's favorite wallop most effective punch among the lightweights today. The delivery is perfect-a quick, short hook with a downward snap of the wrist at the instant of landing and the referee begins the count. White can also hit with his right hand. He is the most correct hitter in the ring and if he possessed a little more aggressiveness and courage he would have been champion long ago.
