Lewis Primed for Leonard

Ted "Kid" Lewis went to New York today from his training quarters at Jimmy DeForest's place in Long Branch to move his family into a new apartment tomorrow.

Lewis looked the picture of health and in splendid condition, and his looks tell plainer than words that he is ready to step into the ring with Benny Leonard at a moment's notice. He said that while disappointed over the change in dates, September 10 to September 28, he felt satisfied, and was more than willing to grant the extra time to Leonard on his plea of wishing to get into the best possible condition.

Lewis says he is already under the required weight—that he scales 140 pounds.
