Elkton Weddings Decrease.

Elkton, Md. -- The after the holidays' attitude apparently struck Cupid's work at Maryland's Gretna Green here this week. During the past seven days less than 60 couples came here and obtained licenses, the smallest number in any one week for a long time. Two couples met with disappointment, being refused marriage licenses. William H. Huston, Jr., and Lillian E. Cheeseman, of Medford, N. J., were turned down because of their youthful appearance, notwithstanding both declared they were of proper age.
