SENTENCE SERMONS
BY REV. FRANK CLARENCE LOWRY FOR ANP
1. Each day, to every man, would become a stepping-stone, if he would cultivate his own green pastures and not stop short of God's Eternal throne.
2. He can make it a one-man journey or a God-and-man-partnership, but just as sure as he tries to make it alone, he will make an eternal slip.
3. With the forces of evil increasing in numbers and power, man must ever rely upon God or permit his adversary to step in and devour.
4. The heart of man is deceitful and will lead him astray, but with the Kingdom of God strongly established within, he can guide himself aright always.
5. Satan, ever and anon, a just man can annoy, but he can go just so far; such he cannot destroy.
6. But, regarding a weakling and an unregenerated man, this is not true; he can subdue a thousand of them as easily as two.
7. Men are but chaff and stubble when they evade God and let their unconquerable Satan get them into trouble.
8. Intoxicating liquor is one of Satan's short cuts and with this, youth and old age come to terrible ruts.
9. With just this alone he can level them to the ground and dates them to lift their heads, much less strive for an eternal crown.
10. With all the forces of evil, more than a thousand to one, and Satan the captain, pulling men down; a share in God's eternal Kingdom is the only investment really sound.
11. Kingdoms and nations have come and gone, but only those that trust in God will prove the mighty and the strong.
12. Blessed is that nation whose God is the Lord, and the hearts of whose people are in loving peace and accord.
