BE SHOWN IF DEMANDED
The La Follette-Wheeler campaign headquarters has arranged to have a La Follette film made. It will show Senator La Follette in action and illustrate the vital principles that he stands for. It will show him in his place in American history along with America's other great leaders and liberators of the past.
You would like to see this film, would you not? It is a good film, lively, entertaining and full of human interest. But you will not see this film unless you go to your own motion picture theater and ask its manager when he is going to show it and insist that you want to see it here.
Why is this? Because it costs vast sums of money to distribute films through the regular channels. It is also to the interest of certain motion picture exhibitors not to show this film. For this reason the La Follette-Wheeler campaign committee has found it advisable to send these films direct to their state chairmen, who will see that they are available to every motion picture exhibitor in your state who is willing to show them.
But unless the demand is made upon him he will have a dozen reasons why he need not show it. Tell him that you want to see it; tell him that La Follette and Congressman Nelson and his group have always stood for the fullest and fairest development of the screen as a method of expression. It was La Follette who was chiefly responsible for the abolition of the theater tax.
We shall have more news of this La Follette reel in next week's issue.
But start talking to your motion picture man tonight.
