The 12A1 Homemaking class, pictured above under the supervision of Mrs. I. B. Gadsden recently set up a very successful demonstration at Yamacraw Village the newly opened low rent housing project in Savannah. The purpose of which was to show the prospective tenant how tastefully and inexpensively the units be furnished.

In the rooms all furniture was made in the

Beach-Cuyler Manual Training Department under the supervision of Mr. J. L. Young.

The class is shown in the Homemaking department, making the curtains, covers, and spreads used in the units.

The demonstration was visited by many people from all over the country and was said by all to be the best of its kind ever seen.

Mr. W. Horace Stillwell, executive director of the Savannah Housing Authority was so well pleased with the work of the students that he is allowing the demonstration units to remain open a month longer so that every one may get an opportunity to see them.
