Full Text

By a letter from Schenectady, dated the beginning of this month, we are informed, that Sir William Johnson was then greatly engaged with a large number of Indians, who came to assure him of their attachment to the English, and to make offers of accompanying his Majesty's troops against the enemy, whenever they are called upon; than which nothing can be more conducive to the security and success of an army marching through an Indian country, which otherwise would meet with constant ambuscades and opposition.
