Lord North has been for several Days past a very constant Attendant at St. James's on a great Personage, the Subject of which is, we are assured, to issue an Order for the farther detaining the Lord Mayor and Mr. Oliver in the Tower.
We are informed that Judge De Grey received, on Thursday last, his Instructions how to behave when two great City Patriots should be brought before him.
A Correspondent says the Commitment of the Lord Mayor and Mr. Oliver to the Tower may be accounted an Event of the greatest Utility to the Nation, as it will be seen whether Law, the only Security of their Freedom, must yield to a Set of Men devoted to the Nod of a Minister (by Places and Pensions) who, under the Sanction of Privilege, may make themselves as despotick as the Grand Seignior.
