We have received this morning, by the British packet, the Marquis of Salisbury, Bermuda papers to the 4th inst. The Marquis of Salisbury brings London advices no later than the 3d November. A large portion of the Bermuda paper before us, is occupied by a Report of a Committee of the House of Assembly of Jamaica, on the subject of the distresses under which the planters at present labor, from the oppressive taxation and exactions to which the produce of their enterprize and industry has been subjected by the British government. An Address has been made to the king upon the subject, which is able, concise and bold.
