PENNSYLVANIA VOLUNTEERS.

Since the publication of the last 'Mercury,' this borough has, by the daily arrival of volunteer corps, amounting to between 1000 and 1200 men, exhibited a spectacle cheering to the heart of every patriotic American. As Pennsylvanians, we feel proud to see so respectable a body of men, voluntarily yielding to the calls of their country in the hour of danger—exchanging the comforts and endearments of private life, for the honors and the hardships of the 'tented field.' The general appearance of all the corps is beyond praise; and from the intrepid look, the order & discipline which they have all exhibited, we confidently anticipate, that the brave volunteers of Pennsylvania, will be amongst the foremost in avenging the wrongs of their country.—These corps are completely uniformed and equipped; and form a part of the 2000 troops which are ordered to assemble at Meadville on the 25th inst.
