New Men Elected to the Democratic Assembly
District Committees.

The leaders of the old Irving Hall Democratic
organization are satisfied with the result
of the primary elections that were held on Tuesday
night under the plan which they adopted.
The attendance at the primaries was large, and
in many election districts there were contests.
The vote polled in the 678 election districts exceeded 25,000. Among the Democrats not hitherto
active in the party who were elected at the
primaries to the Assembly District Committees
were Gen. Daniel E. Sickles, Mayor Cooper, ex-
Congressman Robert B. Roosevelt, Abram S.
Hewitt, Nicholas Muller, Morgan Jones,
James Oliver, J. Walker Fowler, Tim
Shea, John R. Voorhis, Excise Commissioner
William I. Mitchell, John Keenan,
ex-Assemblyman James Daly, Thomas Costergan, Col. John R. Fellows, Police Justice Maurice J. Power, Alderman Robert Foster, James
E. Morrison, Commissioner of Public Works
Hubert O. Thompson, Aldermen Robert Hall,
Bernard Kenney, Joseph P. Strack, and Charles
H. Marshall, Emanuel B. Hart, Col. John
Tracey, ex-Senator Hugh H. Moore, Jordan L.
Mott, William M. O'Hirten, and Col. James J.
Mooney.

The Assembly District Committees will meet
to-night and to-morrow night for organization.
Under the Irving Hall plan, each Assembly
District Committee may increase the number
of its members by a two-thirds vote of its own
members. It is understood that many of the
Democrats who are supporters of the Hotel
Brunswick plan of organization will be made
members of these associations.
