The New York Legislature did at least one good piece of work at its last session. It passed a bill organizing a board for the examination of and licensing druggists and prescription clerks in the city of New York. All in that line of business are to have a thorough examination in chemistry and practical pharmacy, and those who at the expiration of six months continue their profession without having received a certificate from the board are subject to heavy fine and imprisonment. This will put an end to chloral homicides and their like.
