Extract of a Letter from Boston, to a Friend in this Place, dated Oct. 17, 1774.
Mr. Revere returned from Philadelphia this Afternoon, but went with his Letters to the Provincial Congress at Cambridge; that the Contents are not yet known in Town, though Revere brought a Letter from the Continental Congress to Governor GAGE, a Copy of which he saw, the Contents of which was advising the Governor to withdraw his Works at the Fortification, for any Insult offered to the Town of Boston, which Letter was advising the Governor to withdraw his Works would be resented by them; that he had not barely to do with the Town of Boston the Province of the Massachusetts Bay, but the whole Continent; any Abuse offer'd them, would be look'd upon as an Insult upon the whole. Mr. Revere Says, there is a perfect Union & Harmony among the Members at Philadelphia.
