Mrs. John Harper, Wife of a Farmer, Ends Her Life.

Cynthiana, Ky., April 13.-Mrs. John Harper, wife of a well to do farmer of Shady Nook, committed suicide after two attempts while temporarily insane by tying a brick around her neck and plunging headforemost into a rain barrel.

Mrs. Harper first attempted to drown herself in a watering trough. She left a note saying she had arranged lunch for the night and had prepared dinner for the next day, and where it could be found. She gave no reason for killing herself.
