From this it will be seen that in the 76 counties in our table, Mr. Cooper, the highest of the opposition, leads the highest on our ticket 343 votes. In the remaining 17 counties, Gov. McDonald last year obtained over Mr. Dawson, in the contest for the Executive chair, a majority of 2,227 votes. If the vote, therefore, in these counties, should not materially change from that of last year, our whole ticket will be beaten by an average majority of about 2,600 votes. The majority against us in the Governor's election last year, was over 4,100.—Southern Recorder.
