SCOUTS OPEN THEIR NEW
CAMP AT LAUREL POND

Program

Tent floors are being put up and tents erected at the St. Mary's Boy Scouts Camp at Laurel Pond in North Woodstock which opened last Sunday. Until the tents are all in place the boys are sleeping in the Mess Hall and in the General Assembly room. Rev. Joseph D. Casey, Thomas Igo, and John Cronin, former Boston University football star, scout commissioners, are in charge at present, assisted by Philip Maynard and Joseph Igo, secretaries. John Gahn is in charge of the commissary and cooking departments. At present, there are about sixty in residence including the commissioners and their assistants. The boys come in relays of two weeks each. The regular program is being carried out, with swimming, boating, games and scout activities playing a prominent part.
