We learn from Sackett's Harbor that the British fleet has returned from Niagara to Kingston, with Gen. Drummond and a considerable portion of his army on board. Troops have also been collecting at Kingston, from below, for some time past.
Maj. Gen. Brown passed through this village a few days since on his way to Sackett's Harbor. The most salutary effects may be expected to result from this intelligent and justly esteemed officer taking the command at that place.
We learn from Buffalo that General Izard's army has recrossed the Niagara, except a small garrison left in possession of Fort Erie. General Brown's division has commenced its march for Sackett's Harbor.
The militia of the county of Onondaga have been called out en masse to repair to Sackett's Harbor. They commenced their march on Friday last.
