ITALY, July 6.
At Borchetta di Campione. Gen. Menhand attacked, and turned the right of Austrian lines of defense, with trailed arms, killed 100, took 200, with 400 tents, and all the baggage. During which, Col. Recco turned the left, killed 300, and made 70 prisoners. We destroyed the works so that a month's fatigue will be required to get it to rights again.
The garrison of Mantua has made a sortie, but left 20 killed behind them.
The Grand Duke of Tuscany has informed Gen. Buonaparte, that the arrested Gen. Spannochi, waits his charges. The Duke seems over complaisant to the French General, and appears to pray serviently to him.
