WESTMINSTER-HALL.
IMPEACHMENT OF
WARREN HASTINGS, Esq.
EIGHTEENTH DAY.

Those were in good luck who did not procure tickets of admission for yesterday's continuation of this impeachment. All that passed was some readings by the Clerk of the House of Lords from the correspondence between Mr. Bristow, the Resident at Lucknow, and the Governor General, on the subject of the Begums; the treaty made between the East-India Company and these Princesses; and lastly the treaty of 1778, between the Company and the Nabob Vizier.

The whole was directed to prove that Mr. Hastings had formerly very warmly espoused the cause of these Princesses, and had latterly altered his conduct, and treated them with the greatest severity.

The Company for the most part retired at a very early hour, and the Court adjourned to this day.
