Whilst the subject of separation has been discussed we have felt a degree of regret at the manner in which the subject has been noticed in some of the western papers we should be glad to part in friendship therefore, most heartily reciprocate the following sentiment from the last Mass Spy :-
" Though we regret the necessity of the measure, still, in the spirit of genuine philanthropy, we wish them a cordial farewell: and, like an old friend who has winged his way from this world to another, however we may regret that we can no longer enjoy his society, we console ourselves with the hope, that what is our loss will be their gain in a tenfold greater degree."
