Challenge.
We publish the following by request of one of our subscribers who is still an uncompromising prohibitionist:
I challenge the ministers, the lawyers, the school teachers, the editors and the statesmen of the United States to public discussion on the following proposition:
I affirm that the saloon keeper is just as good a man in the sight of God, as the man who now gives support, aid or comfort to either the Democratic or the Republican party.
I require that he who accepts this challenge shall be a representative man, and that the discussion shall be conducted under the ordinary rules for such discussions.
