THE CRAWFORD SYSTEM
The Crawford plan has been tested and all the nominees think it is
a great system. Those who were defeated, however, talk differently.
They say it is the greatest scheme for fraudulent voting that was ever
brought off, and they are not alone in their opinion. In every precinct in the county men were voted
who it is claimed were not entitled to the privilege, being non residents of the county. Advice from
the Colorado river, the authority of which cannot be questioned, informs us that twenty-two votes at
this precinct came from Needles, and that the election was the greatest farce ever perpetrated in
any country. The people are getting mighty sick of this kind of work and it is to be hoped that
some of them will get their eyes opened after while and call a halt.
Money won't do everything all the time. At this place and in Kingman the same order of things prevailed. Men voted who are not even residents, and the people are not going to stand for it in November, either,--Arizona Arrow.
