Full Text
The Springfield State Journal has been disturbed by the attempt now being made to "mobilize" the Opposition people of the State and thus defeat the Radicals. It has been pleased to make a few remarks about the humor of the suggestion that The Bulletin and Chicago Times should lead "an honest men's party." The Journal lives in a glass house at which we do not wish to throw stones, but it should have the discretion to not join in a hue and cry of "Stop Thief!" when, among its neighbors, its character is so well known.
