Foreign Intelligence.

DUBLIN, October 13.

Constitutional Intelligence.

On Monday last (in consequence of a requisition, signed by sixty-nine Freeholders, and ninety-three Freemen of the city of Dublin) a very great number of respectable Freeholders and Freemen assembled at Weaver's-Hall, on the Coombe. Between the hours of twelve and one, the general voice of the assembly called Sir Edward Newenham to the Chair.

Mr. Tandy informed the Chair, that as the Hall was then quite full, a still greater number than was there could not get admittance, but had assembled in St. Luke's walk. He therefore moved that the assembly should adjourn thither. This motion was opposed by Mr. Smith (of the Goldsmith's Corps) who thought it would be best to finish the business in the Hall, and then the assembly in St. Luke's walk might be acquainted with the proceedings and requested to accede to them.

Mr. Tandy then moved, to appoint five gentlemen as Delegates from the city of Dublin, to meet and confer with the Delegates appointed, or who might hereafter be appointed, to meet on the 25th instant, to consult on the most constitutional means of procuring a Parliamentary Reform. He begged gentlemen to consider, that the eyes, not only of this kingdom, but even of surrounding nations, were on the citizens of Dublin. It was they who first began to seek a redress of grievances, and an establishment of national rights, and they ought to go through with it; notwithstanding all the manoeuvres of a corrupt administration to prevent it. He then proposed Sir Edward Newenham, Sir James Stratford Tynte, Bart. Sir William Fownes, George Pulteney, Esq. and John Ponsonby, Esq. to be the five Delegates.

This nomination would be a sufficient proof that nothing was intended but loyalty to the Sovereign, respect to the constitution, and the welfare of the kingdom; for those gentlemen would not agree to any thing that could be inimical to either; nor wish to excite any disorder in a country in which they alone possessed landed property to above the value of seventy thousand pounds a year.

These names were received with the greatest applause; and the question being put on each separately, was carried in the affirmative, without one dissenting voice.

It was then moved, that it be now, and it was accordingly,

Resolved, unanimously, That, highly approving of the conduct of Sir Edward Newenham, Sir James S. Tynte, Bart. Sir William Fownes, George Pulteney and John Ponsonby, Esqs. we do nominate them to conduct and co-operate with those gentlemen who have been, or shall be appointed by the several counties, cities and towns in this kingdom to meet in this city the 25th inst. in order to consider of, and adopt the most effectual and constitutional means to obtain a Parliamentary Reform.
