HUNTINGTON YOUNG MEN CLAIM
TO HAVE BEEN TREATED
WITH BRUTALITY.

John Forbush and William Early,
two young men who enlisted in the
United States navy at this point some
time ago, a few days ago returned to
Huntington without the leave of the
naval authorities and they were yesterday
arrested and placed in jail on a
charge of desertion. They are now being
held here while the United States
authorities are notified of the capture
and prepare to take the young men in
custody.

Forbush and Early claim that they
were treated with great brutality during
their short term of service in the
navy, and they were unable to stand it.
Consequently they deserted and returned
home. It is likely now that the
young men will have to spend some
time in a Federal prison.
