Full Text

The House of Representatives on Saturday last, after considering a few private bills, was highly edified, and the public business considerably expedited, by a quarrel about Massachusetts politics, freesoilism, &c., &c., between Mr. Davis of that State and Mr. Rantoul. Mr. Rantoul has the floor still, and will continue the discussion. We are in hopes that this sort of thing will go on, so as ultimately to provoke such a rebuke from the people, that we shall have the last of it now and hereafter. There is a limit to public patience—and Senators and Representatives will find it out, we hope, before long.
