AT LUMBER TOWN
Several negroes were arrested at McNary by John C. Earl, federal officer, that being in the Apache Indian Forest. They were brought before Guy Axline, United States Commissioner at Holbrook, who bound over ten negroes and one Mexican to the United States court at Prescott, under bonds of $150 each.
Three were acquitted. The names of those bound over are as follows:
John Nichols, Mattie Nichols, Curtis Lloyd, Will Harris, Charlie Johnson, Tom Johnson, John Goff, Patricio Guture. A total of 217 gallons of illicit booze was captured.--Holbrook Tribune.
