Full Text
The Bible says that no man can serve two masters (Matthew 6:24).
The reason given is that he will love one and hate the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. He who would be the servant of the eternal God cannot serve an idol god. An idol god is anything that takes first place in your life. Your master is that which determines how you act. Is the personal, living, eternal God your master or is some impersonal, non-living, transitory thing your master?
Choose this day whom you will serve.
