Prohibition.
Prohibition will help to prohibit.
Public sentiment is increasing in its favor. It is no longer a question with many people who were in favor of whiskey and barrooms twenty-five years ago. They now believe in stopping the traffic entirely. It is probable that the General Assembly of this State will pass a prohibition law at its next session. The people are ready for it. The following is the way the question now stands in the following States:
Georgia.-Absolute prohibition after January 1, 1908.
South Carolina-Dispensary and local option, with strong prohibition sentiment, and possible passage next year.
North Carolina-Partial prohibition, and strong sentiment for a general state law.
Alabama-Now agitating prohibition in the legislature, with very strong favorable sentiment.
Tennessee-Prohibition agitation. with rapidly increasing victories—
Carolina Spartan.
