Dear Advocate: The revival fires are burning in Leesville. Evangelist Pierce Kinard has just closed a glorious meeting at Batesburg, with his large tent. Rev. J. E. Mahaffey, the faithful pastor, came day and night, urging all people to seek God, and the last night nearly one hundred came in tears for prayer, and many really found Jesus. Eighteen joined the Church and seven family altars were erected.
He has moved his tent to Leesville and all the pastors called in their night services and came to the tent where Brother Kinard gave us a strong sermon on hell. Many came up for prayer.
Our pastor, Brother Driggers, is coming and working and praying for a soul-saving time. I have never met or heard a more zealous humble man and one that I had more confidence in than Brother Kinard. Don't fail to get him, pastor, if you want a safe sane loyal Methodist.
Our last two meetings were with Rev. L. W. Johnson, at Brunson, S. C., and Rev. W. W. Brinsfield, Atlanta, Ga. The Lord saved some people and sanctified all who would pay the price. Four joined at Brunson and sixteen in Georgia meeting. We go next to Rev. J. T. Farr, Columbus, Ga., and Rev. J. H. Thacker, Columbia, S. C. I am praying for a Holy Ghost revival to visit every Church.
Yours for full salvation,
W. P. Yarbrough,
Leesville, May 24.
