Silver Men Say He Need Not Resign.

They Declare That the Whole People of Nevada Want Him in the Senate.

VIRGINIA CITY, Nev., Sept. 22.—The state central committee of the silver party, through its chairman, James H. Kinkead, has written a complimentary letter to Senator John P. Jones commending his course in leaving the Republican party.

The letter assures Senator Jones that he need not feel called upon to resign the senatorship on demand of Republicans and declares that he owes his position to the whole people of Nevada who irrespective of party wish him to represent them in the United States senate.
