Members Will Travel
To Baltimore, Monday
Three East Hartford members of the Laurel Music Camp will travel with other Camp members to Baltimore, Maryland, next week to take part in the Music Educators National Conference, being held at the Lord Baltimore Hotel on March 7-9.
East Hartford residents who will take part in the conference are, Glorianna Hill, 651 Hills Street, Donald MacRae, 61 Dike Circle, and Joyce Pearce, 27 Fuller Avenue.
The Laurel Music Camp, held at Winsted, Connecticut, for one week each summer, is under the sponsorship of the Connecticut Music Educators Association and is open to high school students who like to sing. The camp chorus, under the direction of Mr. John Raymond of Lafayette College, Easton Pennsylvania, has been invited to Baltimore to demonstrate the carry-over in enthusiasm and quality of performance attainable by a group which has not sung together for seven months.
This coming summer the Laurel Music Camp will add an instrumental department to its program.
